We collect information you provide when creating an account or booking a consultation, including your name, email address, phone number, and timezone.

b. Consultation and Health Information

We may collect information you provide during registration, questionnaires, or consultations, including general wellness information, symptoms, and treatment preferences. Practitioners may add notes or recommendations related to your session.

c. Payment Information

Payments are securely processed through Stripe Express. We do not store credit card or bank account information. Stripe may collect limited information for identity verification, fraud prevention, and payouts to Practitioners.

d. Technical and Usage Information

We automatically collect certain information such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, session logs, and analytics data to maintain and improve the Platform’s performance and security.

e. Communications and Consultation Data

We may collect and retain limited records related to your consultations and communications on the Platform, which may include transcripts, summaries, or other data derived from teleconsultations. These records may be used for purposes such as:

  • Facilitating your ongoing care or consultation history
  • Quality assurance and platform safety
  • Compliance with applicable laws or dispute resolution
  • Training, review, or technical troubleshooting

Where monitoring or storage occurs, it will be conducted securely and only by authorized personnel or systems, consistent with applicable privacy regulations.

  • To deliver and improve HomeoPath services and user experience.
  • To schedule and manage consultations between Users and Practitioners
  • To process payments and issue receipts or refunds via Stripe Express.
  • To send appointment confirmations, updates, and reminders.
  • To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or misuse of the Platform.
  • To comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

4. Legal Bases for Processing (GDPR and Equivalent Laws)

  • Consent: When you voluntarily provide information or agree to cookies or data sharing.
  • Contractual necessity: When data is required to provide consultations or process payments.
  • Legitimate interests: For platform improvement, fraud prevention, and analytics
  • Legal obligations: For compliance with applicable privacy or health record laws.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We share limited data with trusted partners necessary to operate HomeoPath:

  • Practitioners: To facilitate consultations.
  • Stripe Express: For secure payment processing and identity verification.
  • Video service providers: (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet, or VSee) for teleconsultations.
  • Infrastructure providers: Such as AWS, Google Cloud, or similar for hosting and data security.

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data for marketing purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal and consultation information only as long as necessary for legal, regulatory, or operational requirements, typically for up to seven (7) years after your last activity unless a longer period is required by law.

You may request deletion or anonymization of your data, subject to retention obligations.

7. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred and processed in multiple countries, including the United States and India, where our Practitioners and support teams operate. We use secure, encrypted systems and apply standard contractual safeguards consistent with international privacy laws (GDPR and DPDP).

  • Role-based access controls
